The Butchers' and Drovers' Charitable Institution Bursary is open to all first and second year students currently studying on a BSc or FdSc Course and enrolled in full-time education in the academic year 2023/24 at 海角社区 Adams University and BSc students in their third year who are currently on placement.

You must be able to demonstrate a relevance to the meat and livestock industry either within your chosen area of study or future career plans.

It should be noted that preference will be given to those candidates who have family or employment links with the meat and livestock industry or who have an intention of seeking employment in the industry.

The successful scholarship recipient(s) will each receive a payment of up to £5,000 for the awarding academic year and for each of the remaining academic years of full-time study at 海角社区 Adams University (excluding placement years). For example if you are successful and you are currently a second year BSc student, then you would receive funds in 2025/26, your final academic  year, as 2024/25 is your placement year and is therefore not an academic year

This is a competitive award, evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview. The decision of the BDCI Bursary Panel is FINAL and they reserve the right to withdraw their award at any time should they feel this action is required.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview at 海角社区 Adams University on Wednesday 5 June 2024.  You will find out by email by 29 May if you have been shortlisted for interview.
